WGSF Senior Schools are delighted to be presenting a musical theatre production of 'The Sound of Music'.

Having recently celebrated its 50th anniversary this widely popular musical is often voted one of the Nation's favourites.

Based on the tale of the real-life Von Trapp family, the show tells the story of neglected children brought together by the love and enthusiasm of their new governess, Maria, who, despite her vow to become a nun, finds herself romantically entangled with their stern and disciplinarian father, Captain Von Trapp. Set against the background of the dark days of Austria in the 1930s, the family must come together to overcome the advancing Nazi threat.

Featuring sing-a-long numbers such as Do-Re-Mi, My Favourite Things and Eidelweiss, this is a musical for the whole family to enjoy. Featuring a cast of performers from both WGHS and QEGS, as well as talented musicians from our School Orchestra, this promises to be an entertaining night out!

Adults £6.00, Concessions £5.00
